Alix grew up in Laconia, New Hampshire with dogs, cats, and horses. After receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree from Mount Holyoke College, she went on to open a successful pet sitting business, Pawsitively Pampered Pets in Seattle, Washington. She went on to receive her Master of Science degree in Fisheries and Wildlife Management from Michigan State University. Most recently Alix worked at Franklin Park Zoo in Boston, Massachusetts.
A desire to return to the place where she grew up has brought Alix back to New Hampshire to establish Homeward Bound Professional Animal Care, LLC. Alix brings a lifetime of knowledge gained by working with animals of all kinds from dogs and cats to wildlife such as deer, wolves, and bear.
Alix has also volunteered her time at HOWL, a wildlife rehabilitation center, Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle in the feline and gorilla units, and for the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources tracking deer.
